Today was Macey's first Dance Class! It was almost a disaster but it turned out to be great! We were so excited to go and tried to remember everything, a change of clothes for Macey, diapers for Eliza, a bottle for Eliza, Macey's Dancing Dora sippy cup, the camera, tap shoes, ballet shoes, shoes to wear home, etc... we packed everything into a bag and then noticed when we were almost to dance school that we forgot the bag! I was so upset to have forgotten her shoes on the first day of school I almost wanted to turn around and just go home. Luckily, Akol dropped us off first and headed across town to go home and get the bag. He made it back with her tap shoes just in time! We were very proud of how well Macey did with leaving us in the lobby to go into the classroom with a teacher and students she didn't know. She just gave me a kiss and went in! She is such a confident little girl. She was the youngest ( since she doesn't even turn three until the 9th of September) and by far the smallest! There were girls in there with size 12 tap shoes and hers are a 7. The teacher said that she was a good listener and did great. She had a lot of fun and we watched her from the TV in the lobby. She didn't seem at all scared or intimidated and didn't get upset when everyone else lined up their shoes and her weren't there yet. We are so happy about how the morning turned out. Tomorrow is an open house/ice cream social at her dance school and we can't wait! Enjoy the pictures!----------------------------------

( thanks for the dance clothes and shoes Nona and Grandpa!)

All of the parents gathered in the lobby to watch the classes on the TV. I cropped it and drew an arrow so you can all see where Macey is. I was so happy that we put her in a little pink skirt and pink bow because it made it much easier to spot her :)
After class, Macey gave her new teacher a big hug and posed for some pictures.

We had a free photo shoot with a local ( rather expensive otherwise) photographer recently. Unfortunatly we weren't impressed with the results. Here are the two best shots. the image files are small but enjoy :)
